When prospective clients search for lawyers online, there are a lot of options. Therefore its important that you do what you can to differentiate yourself. One easy way to do this is through the use of client testimonials. Our research tells us that prospective client do like to see what others have said about a particular attorney and that it often impacts their decision on who to call.
Besides posting testimonials on your websites, which I recommend highly, there are numerous other places online where you should post client testimonials.
1) Google Maps: Have your client search for your business listing at http://maps.google.com/ Then have them post or write a review. *Its also important that you update your business listing at https://www.google.com/local/add/ making sure that you add a lot of geographic and practice specific keywords in the description.
2) Superpages: Find your firms listing at http://www.superpages.com/ and post testimonials here. Anyone can add a review here. The site will first ask you to register.
3) Yellowpages.com: find your firm’s free listing in http://www.yellowpages.com/ and click on the “Rate it” button. You will be prompted to create a userid and password.
4) http://www.dexknows.com/ Find your firm’s free listing and click on the “rate it” link. You will be prompted to register by creating userid and password.
5) http://www.linkedin.com/ With linkedin, you can request a testimonial from someone in your Linkedin network. Likewise you can write a testimonial for anyone in your network as well.
