Idaho – Best Legal Websites

Today I feature the best websites from Idaho. Idaho is the home of legal marketing company “Nifty Law”. From what I have heard Nifty Law is on the higher end of SEO companies, at least in terms of price. Their website claims that they are very transparent in terms of their SEO methods. However, they are not very transparent when it comes to who their clients are – only showcasing two clients in their portfolio. One of those clients has an amazing web presence in Las Vegas – Naqvilaw.com. So naturally I wanted to see what they were doing to get such great results. When I looked at the link profile for Naqvilaw I noticed they were getting a link from a website called www.Kaneinjury.com. When I clicked on this site I found an innocuous ‘personal injury site” with no contact information, attorney profile, or anything that would identify the attorney associated with this site. However, there was a banner ad pointing to Naqvilaw that contained a direct link.
So then I looked at the history of the kaneinjury domain. Using the wayback machine I found out that up until August 2014, the site belonged to a personal injury attorney in Orlando FL. In August the URL was lapsed. I called the attorney and found out that he had no idea that his URL was taken. Well its now being used to prop up the web presence of a personal injury lawyer in Las Vegas. Repurposing expired domains to manipulate rankings seems shady to me. The other issue with only having two clients in their portfolio, is that it is hard to determine if good performance is a fluke. After doing some digging I found they have another SEO client in Vegas – www.ladahlaw.com who is not doing very well at all. This underscores the importance of an attorney doing their due diligence by calling references.
